Thankful for TZ supporters

Hey friends and family,

All else aside, I'd like to express just how thankful I am for all of you who supported me in my efforts to go to Tanzania this summer.  I did a horrible job of communicating with my supporters upon my return home at the end of August.  Please forgive me!  Last semester of graduate school started the day I flew back, and the coursework I faced included the completion of 2 classes from the summer as well as a full load of classes and clinical hours to complete for the semester at hand. Needless to say, I quickly switched gears and made school first priority.  I secluded myself at the lake for days on end (being that my clinical site was located close to Jasper, GA).  So when I miraculously made it to graduation in December, I had a long line of new priorities awaiting my attention.  Those include(d) helping volunteer at a missions conference called Urbana, taking a Nursing Review course for my board exam, studying for boards, transitioning to working more at the hospital, and figuring out what's next.  Unfortunately, I never had much of a chance to debrief my experience in Africa so naturally that process took more time and energy than anticipated.  Since the beginning of this year, many things have happened - nothing major but various happenings that have kept me from pulling the reigns and carving out some quality time to reach out to my supporters.  Well the time is now.  I want to make time to reconnect with each of you and share my experiences from the summer.  I apologize for not having been in better touch and am especially regretful for not sharing with you soon enough specifically how your support and participation in our efforts this summer made a difference both for the community in Ntagacha and our team.  Whether you supported me through encouragement, prayer and/or financial support, I am so thankful for you.  There's more to come - plan on hearing from me soon :)

For His glory,
Laura
